What battery bank voltages does the CC-MPPT-HV-50A support?

It is available in two ranges — a 48V/60V/72V model and a 96V/120V/144V/180V/192V/240V model — covering high-voltage banks from 48V right up to 240V. The battery type and voltage are factory-set and field-selectable using the five front-panel keys.

What is the largest solar array I can connect?

Up to 16,200 Wp when using 540Wp solar panels. The maximum permissible solar panel open-circuit voltage (Voc) is 750V, which must never be exceeded.

Is it a good MPPT charge controller for LiFePO4 and lithium batteries?

Yes. It supports Lead-acid (SMF, FLA, Tubular, Gel), Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LiFePO4), Lithium-ion and Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd) batteries, with programmable charge voltages so you can match your exact battery specification.

How efficient is the 50A high-voltage MPPT controller?

The IGBT-based buck design delivers MPPT tracking efficiency up to 98.8% and conversion efficiency between 97.3% and 98.8% — up to 25% more charging than an equivalent PWM controller.

Does it support remote monitoring?

Yes. An optional RS485 communication port allows the controller to be monitored and controlled remotely, making it suitable for large or unattended installations.

What safety protections are built in?

It includes reverse-polarity, overcharge, deep-discharge and short-circuit protection, plus a 63A MCB on the PV terminals and a 100A fuse in the battery circuit to prevent sparks during connection.

Can I use this to convert my existing high-voltage inverter into a solar inverter?

Yes. The CC-MPPT-HV-50A is ideal for converting an existing 48V to 240V inverter battery bank into a solar-charged system. Wire your solar array to the controller and your inverter’s battery bank to the battery terminals — the MPPT controller charges the bank from solar by day, cutting your grid and diesel usage, while the inverter keeps running normally. It is a popular way to add solar to home, shop and commercial inverter systems without replacing the inverter.

What is the warranty on the CC-MPPT-HV-50A?
